El Bethel's mission is to help the Borana people in the southern part of Ethiopia and extending down into Kenya.  They seek to provide opportunities for education, for progress and for deepening relationships with God.  As of 2009, El Bethel has established 35 churches in the southern region of Ethiopia and is having an impact on thousands of people.

How you can help: 

PRAYER:  First and foremost, pray for the Borana people and for the El Bethel workers that have been called for this mission.

CHURCH BUILDINGS:  Financial support is needed for the building of both rural and city churches.  The cost to build a rural church is $5,000 and for a city church is $100,000.  We are interested in identifying churches that wish to join the partnership and provide $10,000 towards the building of churches.  Also, smaller amounts are welcomed as every dollar counts when building these important, central gathering places for the worship and learning of our Lord.

SCHOOLS AND EDUCATION:  The Ethiopian government is unable to build enough schools for the children in the southern region of Ethiopia.  However, if El Bethel can build the schools, the government has promised to provide the land grants for the buildings.  It costs just $100 to send an Ethiopian child to school for an entire year!  So, raising money to build schools and provide educational resources is very important to enable the children to benefit from an education which can change their lives through expanded opportunities for themselves, their families and even their country.
